laugh-inducing
I like talking on the phone with John (in Seattle) about math. It keeps me grounded on a lot of the things I take for granted. I think in strange spaces all day but then I have to explain a logical concept like DeMorgan's laws or distribution of connectives and I remember that I had to learn this stuff once too.
I also like that he learns much the same way I do. I remember many of the stumbling blocks I encountered when I first met these ideas and how I got around them (the example that made a general idea clear, or a simple analogy), so I just skip straight to that part and he'll get it like a thunderclap. That's convenient.

Lessig vs. the Long Tail

Celebrities caught mid-blink. The very idea is laugh-inducing to me.
