Bob Dole is hysterically funny

Bob Dole is making the rounds for his new book on talk shows. I like to watch/listen to Charlie Rose to wind down my evening and he was on for the full hour today. I hadn't ever really listened to him before since I always believed he was nothing more than a partisan hack. I was way off.

First of all, he's a moderate and advocates as such. He had deeply intelligent things to say with insightful, penetrating, articulate voice. Almost as shocking to me was that he is hysterically funny. I suppose being over 80 years old means you have a life's worth of gags, smart remarks, and humorous anecdotes but he can really nail it when he wants to. It had me in stitches despite myself.
