No updates from Landon is like not getting new news from someone you'd like to hear from (Please note, I couldn't phrase that sentence any better so that it didn't end with a prepesition. (Damn it that one did too, but it was ok because it was the word "prepesition (Though I think I spelled it wrong.))). Also, I love using comparisons like that, where the second half of the comparison is simply a re-worded version of the first one.
