lack of butter implies suspect morality?

Thanks to my unseen new neighbor and their copious unsecured bandwidth.

Today I began reading The Art of Worldly Wisdom by Balthasar Gracian. But my sights are set on loftier goals: Mark Z. Danielewski's Only Revolutions came out recently and Thomas Pynchon's new book Against the Day is released later today.

Laura and I have been having problems dealing with our landlord for the last few weeks. I'm fairly distraught about it because one of the primary reasons for choosing the apartment we're in was how guileless and accomodating he appeared to be, in marked contrast to several of our past landlords. He keeps coming up with excuses and none of the problems ever seem to get fixed. It's been a source of anxiety for me lately. One of the few advantages to renting is supposed to be a blissful unconcern with home repair.

Tonight I joined Laura to celebrate Richelle's birthday by seeing the Asylum Street Spankers in concert.
