oh noes!

I am currently without a home computer: soon-to-be ex-roommate Fabrizio has absconded with the computer without warning. Anyone upgrading their system anytime soon, let me know if you'd like to pass along your current machine to an ever grateful me. If anyone wants to get in touch with me, leave me a message at home: six one four - two six eight - four nine five seven.

better later than even later

dewdrops forming--
when might I become
grass...or a tree?

I got the running in (or did it get me?) but rather than ease the itching in my legs to move, it's only made it worse! I've had to stretch them out all evening to prevent a major freak-out. Now I have to wake up early to run in the morning before it gets volcanic out.

Cats in Boxes

I was able to spend some time in Euclid and see Kathy (get rid of your stuff), John (develop your forehand shot), Isabella (I agree that numbers are worthwhile), Cliff (watch your wallet), and Matthew (Tuner Falling?).

I haven't run in over a week and my legs are itching to get out. But it's nearly 90o outside so I'll have to wait until dusk. Laura is housesitting for a few days and I am the caregiver of her plants and beasts in the interim. This also means: boning up on more category theory in the wee hours of the night. Plum trees are dropping fruit now and raspberries are in full swing. Elderberries aren't far behind. People ask me where I get my raspberries when they know I have a source and I almost feel bad telling them that I'd like to keep it private. When word gets out about something like that it tends to ruin it for everyone. The same goes for mushrooms.

Melanie came to visit Laura over the weekend and we were able to spend Saturday afternoon together. Why did I forgo an evening with hot girls and a jacuzzi? Answer: the pedestrian strictures of money and my lamentably hottub-free job. I can only hope there are pictures.

cremated for the sake of national security

I am in Euclid right now visiting John Copic, who is here for the week. I'll be back in Columbus sometime tomorrow.

Happy Birthday, me!

I think I'm going to take some time off and see The Ring Cycle in Pittsburgh with an acquaintance from college who has an extra set of tickets. I think he said it will be over three days. I'm getting a book out of the library today to read up on this 15-hour opera if I'm going to be able to get enough out of it.

Party boobytraP

the cooler cousin of Set

I move out in less than three weeks and I don't have a new place lined up yet! I'll probably end up at MILO for a few months unless something amazing shows up.

Sit down, stay down, don't try to stand up

Nunchucks Showoff

I love every single thing about this video.
From the poor production values to the overcocky prelaunch sneer, I adore the misguided optimism that drips from every pore of this clip.
So much to laugh about in 15 seconds.
