post!

Ever since we set up the office upstairs and put our computers in it, we've been having trouble connecting to the neighborhood's wireless networks. We're a little out of range. So we have been reduced to dialup for several weeks now. I going to try to make a homemade wireless antenna out of a Pringles can this weekend, though, to boost the signal and hopefully get better bandwidth. Otherwise, I never see Jon Stewart anymore...

I ran the Columbus Marathon on Sunday in 4 hours, 8 minutes, and 11 seconds. That's about a 19 minute improvement from the last time I ran a marathon, six months ago. This time, I chased a four-hour pacesetter for 20 miles until I couldn't keep up. Then I hobbled on my sore ankles over 10-minute miles until I finished. I was really glad that my family came to see me: support really is important to me, despite my best efforts.

I just thought I'd scribble something for a few minutes before I have to work. That is all.

stolen bike #2

It's that time of year for my bicycle to be stolen again. Last night at my new apartment, someone broke the railing on my back porch to remove my bike that was locked to it. It was only screws and nails holding the porch together, I suppose. Laura's bike was locked to a support column so they didn't get that one. I see... useless police reports in my future.

The worst part is, I had been BORROWING that bike to replace the last bike of mine that had been stolen. Sorry, Uncle Garth.
